January 2017 – Series II with extended music streaming service offer
The SilverCrest Series II SMART AUDIO products include an extended offer of music streaming services. Besides Spotify, you can now also stream music from Deezer, Napster, Qobuz and Tidal
As from February 2017, Internet Radio SIRD 14 C1 will also include these new music services by means of a software update.
Unfortunately there is no technical way to update any series I speakers or Hi-Fi adapters to the new services.
However, there is the choice of buying a series II device and then stream the new music services to a group where series I devices are included.
The series II Internet Radio SIRD 14 C2 is already available from LIDL Online Store right now, additional series II devices will be available as of February/March 2017.
December 2, 2015 - Software update for all SMART AUDIO devices
A software update is now available. This will be notified with a corresponding notice in the app.
Please perform the software update according to the app instructions.
Please note that the update may take up to 15 minutes, depending on the Internet connection and the number of devices to be updated.
A: Updating the speaker/adapter
The update process:
- The update starts loading. The blue and green LEDs go on for approx. 15 seconds, then the blue and green LEDs flash during the download (approx. 30 seconds).
- Now the blue LED goes on for approx. 10 to 15 seconds.
- Next the device restarts and the update is being installed. This is indicated by the blue and green LEDs flashing (during approx. 2 minutes).
- After the update is finished, the device restarts. After the reboot it will be available again in the SilverCrest SMART AUDIO app, the blue LED lights steadily.
B: Updating the Internet radio
The update process:
After activating the update via the app, follow the instructions on the Internet radio display.
Important! Please note the following:
Do not interrupt the power supply to the device while the update is running. Please wait for the update to complete. The entire process runs automatically, you don't need to do anything. If you encounter any problems during the update, please contact our hotline.
